Minutes of Extra Meeting of Woolmer Green Parish Council

Held on Tuesday 3^rd February 2004, at 7.30 p.m. – Village Hall

1. This Extra Meeting was held in order to give consideration to a planning application N6 2004 54 FP concerning 24 London Road. The Chair explained that the original application N6 2003 1496 FP, to which the Council had objected, had been refused, but the applicants had appealed and an Informal Hearing had been set for 28.7.04. The current application is under consideration as a delegated application, but may be called in to the Planning Committee for a decision. The Council agreed that, while being reasonably happy with the new proposed layout, they were concerned that there were no dimensions showing the height of the houses. However, the perceived ridge heights seemed to be over-dominant compared with the surrounding existing residences and the Council objected to the application on this basis.

2. Cllr. Mrs. C. Evans advised that she had received quotations from HAGS Play Equipment for some £6,000 for the provision of safety surfaces under the proposed three new items of play equipment. The Council considered the price to be excessive and agreed with Cllr. Mr. H. Bryant’s proposal that the Council should endeavour to negotiate a lower price of around £3,000 for this work. Alternatively, a quotation could be obtained from F. Cooper & Son.
